Cub Scout Pack 21

Pack 21 Activities

Throughout the year, Pack 21 cub scouts get together for a lot of fun-filled activities, such as:

Halloween party - Each den creates a game for all to play, and all the boys show off their costumes!

Pack hikes - At local parks and conservation lands such as Oak Hill conservation land in Littleton, Mount Wachusett, Prouty Woods, and more.

Pinewoods Derby - One of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that boys make with help from their families and then race in competition. The cars are powered by gravity and run down a regulation track. Every boy can design and build his own "grand prix" car to enter in the race.

Space Derby - Similar to the pinewood derby except the models are miniature rockets driven by propellers powered by rubber bands along a suspended, heavy monofilament line.

Winter camping - Overnight trips where we stay in cabins heated by wood stoves.

Polar Bear Derby - A winter fun day shared with other area Packs.

Blue and Gold Banquet - An annual event that celebrates Scouting Anniversary Week in February. The purpose of the blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, recognize pack leaders and other adults who have been instrumental in the pack's success, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents. We often like to invite former members and other Scouting or community leaders to take part in the annual blue and gold banquet. This is also the time when the boys in Webelos II den (second level of the "We Be Loyal Scouts" group) cross over from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.

Rock climbing event - Boys get to try out their rock climbing skills at a local indoor climbing club.

In addition to all these fun pack events, each den plans its own separate, age-related activities and outings.
